WORKING TOGETHER

Because crafting well-written, stand-out essays requires thoughtfulness, introspection, and multiple drafts,  the ideal time to start the process is the summer before senior year. But starting in the early fall still allows plenty of time to meet even the early deadlines.

The initial brainstorming and outlining are done via in-person meetings or Skype/FaceTime. Subsequent discussions and revisions can be done through either additional meetings or written comments emailed to the student, depending on the student's preference and progress.

THE PARENTS' ROLE

Parents can play an important role in the beginning of the process when we are brainstorming to uncover the student's defining moments. However, after the topics are chosen, the parents need to let the student write with the student's own perspective and own voice.

​To avoid surprises and to keep parents from worrying about the added costs of multiple drafts (greatness cannot be rushed!), all services are provided on a fixed-fee basis per essay.
